Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced completion of majority of development works in Al Khor Commercial Street. The street was fully open to traffic yesterday, and the remaining works on sides of the street will be completed by the end of this year.
Al Khor Commercial Street Development Project aims to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion in addition to providing developed roads and infrastructure to serve business owners, residents, and visitors of this area. Project works included developing the existing 5.5km long street and widening its lanes to a range of 16 to 40 metres, to enhance traffic flow, in addition to constructing comprehensive service roads with additional car parking areas.
